Global Ferronickel Holdings, Inc. Announced that its subsidiaries Platinum Group Metals Corporation (PGMC) and Ipilan Nickel Corporation (Ipilan) have signed annual sales and purchase agreements with Baosteel Resources International Limited.
Pagal the agreement, Baosteel will purchase up to 1.5 million wet tons (WMT) of nickel ore in 2024 at a price to be determined monthly based on prevailing market prices at the time of sale. About two-thirds of the nickel ore for sale is expected to be low-grade, with 0.90% nickel and 48% iron. Nickel ore grade is 1.30% to 1.40%, iron content is 15% to 25%. The remaining third will be medium grade, with nickel content of 1.40% and above and iron content of 12% to 23%. It will come from mines operated by FNI in North Surigao and Palawan.
